Hanging At Work

I do not know why but some days I just really want to be with Michael and I hate it when he has to go to work and leave me behind. However, last night I went with him to work. He works in a pet shop like I told you before so I can go in with Hope and walk around. It is great for Hope because she is still trying to get use to some new people. Sometimes she can be shy and other times she is their best friend right away. Just to let you know she did do great yesterday at saying hello to others. But walking around and around in a store that you already have memorized where everything is and nothing is really new gets boring fast. For the rest of the time that we were there we just hang out in the car. I was so prepared this time because I took a book to read and a toy for Hope to play with and a blanket so I wouldn't get cold and also some water. I did have a few more things with me but I don't want to get you laughing to hard at how prepared I was this time. I will say this, I did take my camera for fun and I'm glad that I did. I finally got a picture of Hope that I have been wanting for a really long time.HOPE IN A SHOPPING CART!!! I know that it really doesn't see like such a exciting thing but it is to me because she really does enjoy ridding in one. If you remember the post I did about Hope trying a new thing, it was number two on the list, I said that I didn't get a picture of it but I have one now so it is a big deal to me. (I used a link on the words "new thing," if you want to go back and read it.)I have to admit that I did have a very hard time getting her to actually look at me because when she is in a shopping cart she can see things that are higher up so she looks all over the place or she is smelling the cart to see who used it before us. Even with us taking the pictures outside I could not get her to look at me. I guess ridding in a shopping cart is like a park ride for dogs. After we were finished playing around that is when we waited in the car.I put Hope in the front, no she is not driving the car and if she was she is not doing it correctly or safely. I wanted to have the backseat so that I could get the best light for reading my book since I knew that it was going to be getting dark fast. Hope also does like sitting in the front too because she really does not get to do it that often at all.Once Hope was tired of looking out of the windows she started to play with a toy that we had in the car for her. She really loves this toy and will snuggle up with it when she goes to sleep too. Anytime that it feel off of the seat she would actually wake up and go and get it and then snuggle up with it again. It was so cute to watch her do that, like she was a mommy and it was her baby. So we had fun girl time in the parking lot which really is not that big of a deal with us going because Michael was not working that long last night. We really don't do it that often but sometimes it is just nice to be close together.

Build A Friend

One of the most fun things that we did at the mall, or at least it was for me, was going to Build-A-Bear. I have been in that store a couple of times in other places but I have never really gotten to see them stuff the animals. Linda was so kind as to show me how it worked by getting us both a animal to go through the process with. We like the bunnies the most and I wanted mine to match hers because then they would be twins (like how we are spiritual twins). We even got ours stuffed at the same time which was so much fun to watch that. Here Heather (she is wearing a black shirt) is helping her son fill in the bear that she picked out for him. I feel bad but you can not see her little girls face in the stroller watching. Heathers son was so excited to get a bear but once we were all done he could not wait to get out of the store. It was just really funny. You can also see that Liz even got a bear too. I love what she named hers, Ginger. After the animals are stuffed you take them to this really cute washing station so that you can get any extra fluff off of them or any loose fur. There is this really cool button that you step on that lets out all of this air to help. They even have brushes (what the bunnies are holding) to help you too. My bunny is on the left and Linda's is on the right. Don't they just look so cute?Linda is helping to comfort her little fellow in that the bath tube is not scary but fun. While we were taking care of are little bunnies I found a loose string on mine so I went back to the guy that stuffed it for me and asked him to cute it. He was very nice and did it right away (while helping Heather's family stuff theirs). My bunny is now finally all nice and clean and ready to be named. Not a very easy thing to do when you have to think very quickly. I just knew that my bunny was a girl bunny. I did finally decided on the name Holly Hoppy. I think that it is really cute and fits her well too.Linda found this really cute hat that looked great on her bunny (a boy) and so she ended up getting it and I got a red hat for mine. So they are totally twin bunnies! Linda named her bunny Peter Cotton-Tail. I just love that name so much because it is just great. I still could not believe all of the things that they have in that store that you can do with your animals. They even have it where you get a birth certificate for it. That is where you are forced to name it on the spot and I had to think really fast. This is the saddest part of it all. When I got home, I was so excited to show Michael what I got and when I opened the box it looked fine. I held up the bunny for him to see and then saw this opening in his back. I guess that they guy that stuffed him did not tie the back strings tight enough because they came undone. I was going to cry because it was such a sweet rabbit with a happy memory to it that Michael quickly took it from me and fixed it. He is so kind to me and I'm glad that he loves me so much as to fix my little rabbit. Holly is fine now and she has not needed to have back surgery again but I am still going to keep a close eye on her for a few more days. I'm sure that her lucky rabbit's feet will come in handy too.

Mini Reunion

One of my old friends from High School arranged to have a somewhat mini reunion of the group that I use to hang out with, just the ones we knew where they were and that lived close enough to come. We meet at the gateway mall, which is outside, and it was a nice little windy day today. Linda was so kind as to drive us there but we sure did have quite a shock when we found out that they have done way with the free parking area. I still can not believe that they would do something like that but I'm also not surprised either with how things have been going. It ended up being only four girls with two children and then later a boy and his wife. So it was a pretty good size of us that could get together. We walked all over the mall and went into some of the stores for fun and to look around.Liz is showing us how she is a better window model then what was actually inside of the store. I just love the happy yellow sweater/shirt that only she can show off.Another store that we found had these large cushions that I think were called "love sack." I will be honest I hate the name of them but they are very fun and comfortable too. Linda like the white one and I think that she looks cute in it (Peter you need to get her one *hint, hint, hint*).I found this red one that I really liked. I think that Hope is rubbing off of me for liking the color red more and more. I will be honest that these things are very hard to get out of if you are not use to them I'm sure.Ok, the cushion is so comfy that Linda fell asleep! Well we had been walking a lot during the day so it is fine.Alright, I'm tired to off all of the walking but can you blame me? I have done a ton in only a couple of days. I'm just sad that these things cost so much or I'm sure I would get one for fun. The only problem is that it would not fit in my car and I don't think that it would fit in my room. I do wonder what Hope would do with one of these also.

Up To Eight

I can not believe myself sometimes but I walked eight miles today. I still am not totally recovered from our last walk but Hope needed the exercise and outdoor time so I figure why not. It was a pretty fun walk and very beautiful since we did it around sunset time. I know that I am going to kill myself off with walking so far but I have a goal of going that far (or maybe even a little farther) every day. I do know that Hope is going to have to build up to doing that every day herself and maybe it will help her learn to pace herself because she always gets so excited at the beginning of our walks. I'm just glad that she is going to be sleeping well tonight and me too. :)

Get Along Little Doggie

As you saw and read in the last post I was having a photo shoot day with Hope. But once I got that cowboy hat in the pictures I ended up taking a ton more. I loved how a lot of them turned out but I will just let you see the best. I figured sine I took so many of her and the hat that it deserved to have a post of its own. Here you can see that she is tired because she is missing her nap but she also didn't want me to take the hat away from her either. This is one of my most favorite pictures that I got from her today. She looks so cute!!! She could totally be a cowgirl puppy for Halloween next year and I wouldn't have to worry about making a costume in time for the holiday either.I like this picture of her as well. I hope you noticed that I also changed the color of the bandanna because I think of red (for some reason) as the real cowboy color that they would wear. Don't ask me why because I don't know.Since Hope was having so much fun with the hat I thought that it would be fun for us to join in as well. I love this picture with my beloved family. They are so wonderful and I always enjoy seeing Michael wear his cowboy hat. I think that Hope is happy that someone else was in the picture with her too.Alright, I normally don't like to have my picture taken but I am trying to be better about it. I decided to also join in on the fun and have my picture taken with Hope as well. She is such a good dog to put up with all that I do to her but I know that she loves the attention (what a happy face she has on). So there you have it, Hope wearing all of her bandannas that she got for her birthday with a couple of fun extras in too.

Photo Shoot

Well I finally got around to taking picture of her wearing each one of her new birthday bandannas and she looks so cute in all of them. She really loves wearing each one of them but the only problem that I had was that I took the pictures during her nap time so she was very tired. At least she is such a good sport for me and lets me interrupt her schedule. This one Michael picked out for her and I wish that we actually had it out for Valentines day because it is just perfect for it. At least she will be able to wear it for the next one.I think that she looks so cute in any color that we pick. I wanted her to have a nice bright one because sometimes everyone wants to wear a bright color and I know that Hope is the same way. Here she is in her most favorite color. To her she owns the color red and just goes crazy to wear this bandanna for the day. I like it on her too because she just looks so cute and happy in it.I really didn't think that she would like this purple one as much but it is one of her most favorite bandannas that she has. I think that she would wear this one every day if I let her. Normally in the morning I let her pick out what color she wants to wear and this is always at the top of the list. I think that it brings her eyes our nicely too.I do have a picture of her already wearing the pink bandanna because that was the one that she got to wear all day on her birthday if you remember. But for a change I thought that it would be fun to see her with Michael's cowboy hat. She really liked his hat and then I thought that since she is wearing the bandannas she looked like a little cowboy puppy so that started a totally new thing there.

Five Miles

Today I really wanted some alone time and what better way to get that then taking Hope out on a walk. I didn't know exactly where I would walk off to but I made sure to take the cell phone with me so that I could call for Michael to come and save us if we got to tired. Somehow though the walk ended up being five miles long. Hope did great on the walk but my feet really did hurt after I had found a place to sit and wait for Michael to come and get me. It was wonderful to have the alone time and on such a nice day too. When I finally got home I had decided in my mind that I was not going to do anything else today except just lay down in bed and rest my poor feet. Of course that didn't last very long because as always things need to get done. I had lots of cleaning to do and then I even did a little extra, mostly for Hope. Something that I can not believe is that after doing all of those things my feet no longer hurt at all. I don't know why or how that even happened but I am very glad that it did. But I think that the best part of the entire day was Hopes little attitude towards me because I kept her so busy that she didn't get to take a nap at all. Oh how I wish you could have seen her face. At least now she is getting to go to bed and I am very sure that she will sleep very well.
.
(I am planning to one day walk 14-16 miles in one day. I think that five miles was a pretty good start for not having walked that far in a long time. It did take me two hours to do just that but I am hoping and planning on getting much faster. We will see what happens.)

Surpise Visit

I was wondering what I was going to do today with Michael having to work a little longer then what he was suppose to because of a situation that happened to a co-workers child. I couldn't do much with Hope because she was so tired today from all of the fun that happened yesterday for her so I did just a few normal things that I do every day in the morning. When I finally went downstairs my mother informed me again about my aunt coming to visit, mostly to see my grandmother because she was going to be up here today. My aunt got here a little before my mother and grandmother did which was fine because I had fun talking with her but the best part of it all was that my most favorite cousin also came up too. I was so happy to see her because it has been so long since we have seen one another and when I do get to talk to her it is only for a very short amount of time or very late at night when I am not totally thinking right. She even bought me a wonderful surprise, a story that she has been working on for years. I remember reading it when it was like only five pages and now it is much longer and just as wonderful as I remember it being. She is a great writer and has always inspired me to do well with whatever I am doing. Hope got to meet her and was actually a little scared at first but they did become fast friends which was a nice thing for Hope and me. I was able to just read the story, as fast as I could because my cousin could only stay so long, while Hope totally demanded attention and play time from my cousin. It was so much fun watching them play too. It really made my day just to see her again and I so can not wait until we get to hang out again and hopefully it will be a longer visit then this time.

A Birthday Today Too

I know that you are probably sick about hearing about birthdays after all that I posted yesterday but someone else in the family is having a birthday today. If you remember I told you about how my sister-in-law got engaged, well it is her soon to be husband that has is birthday today. Isn't that just cool that they both have their birthdays in the same month and so close together and they also got engaged this month. I think that it is very safe to say that February is a great month for them. I just wanted to wish the soon to be newest family member a very happy birthday and that he has a terrific day today as well.
.
(I'm only going to leave on the birthday music for today and then I am taking it off. I hope you all enjoyed listening to it and if you missed it you will have to wait until another birthday to hear it.)

First Birthday Ending

Hope sure did have a lot of fun today with all of the things that we did for her and all of her gifts. I thought that you might like to see a new trick that Michael has been teaching her. This trick is done with the new toy that she got today for her birthday but she can actually do it with her food too. She is just so smart but I am glad that she has fun while learning new things.

Doesn't that look like so much fun? I am glad that she really wanted to play with her new toy right away. It sure has helped get a lot of energy out of her and I know that she is going to sleep very well tonight, which you can tell already.

The Party Continues

Sorry about that but I guess one post can only hold so much. Here is what happened for the rest of the family party that we had for Hope.

Hope really got excited with opening up her new toy. I know that she has been waiting a long time for this one because we took her to the store with us to pick it out. We always have to do that because she is very picky about the kind of toys she gets. I'm just glad that we found one that she likes a lot. Finally, the last gift of the birthday celebration.

You can tell at this point she was really done opening up gifts and Michael had to help her out a ton. She has really enjoy the bone and has been needing it too. She did have another one that she was suppose to get for today but if you remember that one kind of got ripped open up by her sister and so we just gave it to Hope early. That is another reason that the gifts got put up high, LILLY!A fun tradition that I want to start and keep going in my family is taking a picture of the birthday girl and all of the things that she gets on her special day. So that is why you see this picture of Hope with all of her things. We do something like this at Christmas time and I thought that it would be fun and a little helpful to do it for birthdays too.Now that everything is opened up and the party is pretty much over Hope has to decided what she is going to do first will all of the new and wonderful things that she received today. It looks like to me that she already knows what she wants.

Time For Birthday Gifts!

The most fun part of the birthday celebration has finally come, opening the presents!Hope was actually very excited to finally get to open up her gifts because she has been looking at them for weeks and at one point I even had to put them up high so that she couldn't get at them anymore. But before she got to open up her gifts we had to sing to her.

I know that she was yawning in the video but can you blame her it is late and she has had a very full day too. Now here she is finally able to open up her first gift and a few more.

As you can see the reason why we let her open up all of these gifts first is because they are all the same pretty much. She was really happy when she finally got to try on each one of them. I will have to show you pictures of her wearing each one of them later because I didn't take any at this time. Here she is with all of them around her. I wonder what one will end up being her favorite one to wear but only time can tell. She is sure funny with how she has to check out each one of them but I think that she secretly likes the purple one. It was way cute but she had to smell and lick each one of them to claim them as her own. I really don't know who she thinks is going to take them away from her. Now its time to open up another gift.

She did get scared for a second from the sound but I am glad that she is such a brave little girl and went back to finish. I'm sure that the smell of the goodies had nothing to do with it either. ;) More to come soon.

At 6:30 p.m.

On February 19th, 2008 at 6:30 p.m. a little puppy was born. She was a beautiful little girl and we fell in love with her right away and knew that she was meant to be with our family forever. We got to see her only one hour after she had been born and it was such a very special moment. She has been a wonderful little girl and has done so much for us.Now a year has passed by and at 6:30 p.m.on February 19th, 2009 you can see how much she has grown. I wanted to take a picture of her at the same time that she was born and this is what you get. We were out on a very special birthday walk and enjoying the beautiful views all around us.

Birthday Fun With Matty

After this morning little doggy nap that Hope took from getting up so early, we went downstairs to find that my sister and her two children had come over for a visit. I love seeing Matty but I think that Hope loves seeing him even more. I told Matty that today was a special day and he asked why so I told him about it being Hopes birthday. Matty was so nice and said happy birthday to her (only him and my dad have said it to her today, outside of Michael and me). Hope and Matty had fun playing with her toys for awhile but then Matty wanted to go outside and play in the snow. Michael and I were so excited to finally play in the snow and go sledding with Matty because we have been wanting to do something with him and Hope for a very long time now and today we finally got to.

Isn't that just the cutest thing ever? It was so much fun watching them play together. At first Hope was a little worried that the sled was going to hit her but then once she realized that it wasn't going to and that Matty was with her she really started to enjoy it. We could only let her pull him around for so long because she was starting to get tired and it is her birthday today so she shouldn't have to work so hard. I am just so glad that we were finally able to do it and it is a sham that winter is coming to a end soon or else we could possible do it again.I love this cute smile that Matty has here. He actually had it the entire time that he was going around and around with Michael and Hope. Here Matty is trying to tell Hope to keep going because he is having so much fun.You can see that she is totally done and really needs a drink. It was hard to get Matty to go inside so that Hope could have a little break but he did eventually, with some Michael help.

A Early Morning

Well as you can tell, if you read the time that I post, I have been awake very early this morning. The reason being is that today is Hopes very first birthday! I am sure that she must have know that today was her birthday because she woke Michael and I up very early and wanted attention and to play of course. Michael was sweet enough to keep her occupied long enough for me to sleep in just a little longer but man she has been a total wild girl today. Michael did have to go in early this morning for work which I am sad that he had to work on her birthday but at least he will be here with us for the rest of the day when he is finished. Michael did remind me though before she left that she could now wear her special birthday bandanna that I have been dying to put on her for weeks so I did.Isn't she so cute! Its the special birthday girl. I love it when I can put her in pink that way no one can mistake her for being anything but a girl dog.Since Hope woke up so early today I had to think of a way to entertain her so that I could at least get ready for the day so that is why every single one of her toys are out for her to play with. Normally I only put out a couple of toys for her to play with for that day so that she doesn't get to board with them but since today is special I decided to let her have them all. She has been going crazy with them and has just been so excited that she really is having a hard time just picking one to play with. You may be asking how am I able to post with a puppy that wants my attention so much and wanting me to play with her but lucky for me she has finally fallen back to sleep and that is how. I really should go back to sleep myself for as much as I can because today is going to be a fast, crazy, and very busy day today. I will let you all know how her birthday goes for the rest of the day, I sure do hope that it turns out perfect for her.

Hopes First Valentines Day

I am sorry to say it but Valentines Day was just not a great day for our little family. We did have some fun plans of things that we thought would be fun to do but they all got thrown out of the window with just one little thing that kind of upset Michael and I. I feel bad because it was Hopes first one and she ended up having a hard day as well. To be honest Valentines Day has never really been a good day for me really ever so I really don't mind skipping it this year. The only Valentines Day that I remember liking is when Michael and I were dating and went to a dance. Ok, I remember one more now which is when my mother made all of us kids that were at home still a pillow case with a big red heart on it. I still have it and normally I put that on my pillow for the day but I couldn't this year because it is still in a storage unit. I sure do hate not having my special things but I would rather have my family then things any day. I do hope that when Valentines day comes around again that I can make it a much better one for my family and somewhat make up for Hopes first one.

Belated Birthday Wish

I feel so bad but I was not able to write a happy birthday to my sister-in-law on her birthday. I was able to call her for her birthday, on the actual day, which it was so nice to be able to talk to her even though it was only for a minute because she was on her way to a class of hers but I will say it again now too, "HAPPY BIRTHDAY!" (Just to let you all know that she is engaged too and we are so excited for her.)

Update On A Job

Well to let you all know we did not hear anything from the one place that Michael applied to and had that interview at so late at night. So since it has been quite some time I'm pretty sure that they are not going to call and give him a job there. I'm kind of sad about it because it really would have helped us out a lot but I just have to figure that is not where he is suppose to be at all. He has applied to several more places but they are not in his field of study though which is kind of sad but at least he is trying. If anyone hears of anything that is in his field please let us know. We sure could use all of the help that we can get right now.

About The Interview

As I told you earlier, Michael had a job interview for tonight. I went with him because I wanted to be the first one to know how it went. I didn't mind sitting in the car at all and I did have Hope with me so I felt very safe. We made sure that we got to the place very early so that we knew exactly where he was suppose to go in. When he did go in he actually got to have his interview done a little early so that was nice, he sure did surprise the guy though. Most people had been coming in late for their interviews so then they wouldn't be interviewed. After Michael was finished with the interview he told me that it went fine but I could tell that something was bothering him. The thing that was bothering him was that the people that posted the job were not totally up front honest about what the job was or like who had claim no it first kind of thing. I'm sure that doesn't make sense but that is the only way that I can describe it. They told him that they would let him know in a few days if he has the job or not but they still had hundreds more of people to interview. I am not sure if he will get this job but at least it was a good type of practice for being interview. I sure do hope that something will come up that is right for him and that he can be happy at too. Until then we just have to play the trying and waiting game again and again. I sure am beginning to really hate that game!

Hope Ran Away

Yesterday started out pretty well with Michael and I having a lot of fun doing a mini date and all until night fell. NO! I am not scared of the dark but Hope ran away from home last night. Let me tell you what happened, Michael and I were preparing our lesson for church today and we were down in the kitchen making treats for the kids is our class. Since we were already downstairs we decided to let Hope outside for one last time that night. Normally she is really good and will go to where she is suppose to and come running back up to the door where we are waiting with her treat. To let you know the yard does not have a fence at all so it is scary sending her out sometimes by herself. But last night I guess she must have saw a deer and just took off after it. She ran so far away that we could not even see her. Given, yes, it was dark but she ran onto the golf course and that is a open up space area. Michael called and called for her and I knew he was worried about waking up the neighbors but I have to be honest that I really didn't care about waking them up because she is so important to me and she really means the world to me. I know that some people will never understand why that is and that is ok. Michael did go out and look for her on the golf course and I helped too and even then we couldn't find her and just as Michael was coming home Hope came running to him and Michael almost caught her but she passed by him and started heading home by herself. I did call her and catch her but man we were so upset that she left and wondered off so far but also so grateful that she returned to us. I hate that we don't have a fence here because I don't feel like the backyard is a safe place for her and she is still a puppy and since she is a Husky that is something that is a major problem for that breed, running off (they call it wonder lust). I'm just so grateful that she did come home but the sad thing is now we can not trust her and she will have to be on a leash and we have to walk her out every time that she needs to go. She is already on her leash way to much in the house (because of some rules) and the only place now that she can be off the leash is in our room. I'm just sad that this entire thing happened. I really want to be able to take her someplace safe to just run and not have to worry about her every second that she is outside. Will life ever get that good?

My Big Girl

I can not believe how fast time has gone by and that Hope is going to be turning 1 year old so soon. Today was a very big day for her because we went out and got her adult dog food. She was starting to get low on her puppy food and since she is almost one we decided that it was close enough to get her the big girl stuff. I just still can not believe that she is ready for it and I am so happy for her but she still will always be my little puppy. Oh, she did get to try a little bit of the big girl food and she liked it a lot. I sure do hope that we can get her to eat the rest of the puppy food but I am sure that it will be fine. Maybe she will get back into a good grove for it or something. That was just my happy thing for the day and I wanted to share her big mile stone that she had today.

A Interview!!!

Yesterday I got a phone call from a company that Michael applied to on Monday and they wanted to get a time that would work for him to come in for a interview. I am so happy that they called but the time that they wanted him to come in would not work because he had to work at the dead in job that pays very little and doesn't trust anyone. I was so sad and worried to tell the lady that called that the time they wanted wouldn't work but she was so kind and nice to me that I much admit I was a little shocked. She just said to have him call her and she gave me her name and number and I said I would give him the message. Well today Michael called them back, the lady was so surprised that he called back to soon, and they were able to set up a time for him to come in and get a interview taken care of. I am so happy that is now set in place and he was even able to call in to his low job and tell them that he just had a appointment and could not work the time that he had schedule and they were actually fine with that. They did have him scheduled for that time but they said that they would move it. Now I am just waiting for him to get home to see if they really did keep their word. I will let you all know how it goes as soon as we know.

Teddy Says Goodbye

I don't know why it is but we have yet lost another pet. This time it was Teddy (the frog) that passed away. He was totally fine yesterday and then this morning when we woke up he was gone. It makes me so sad to lose all of these special pets because they are a large part of our family and we love them all so much. That is one thing that is very hard about having pets is that you loose them at one point in time and you are sad by it but then I am happy that I was able to spend part of my life with them and they with us. We now have all the frogs next to each other in the backyard so that they can be somewhat close together again. I sure am going to miss Teddy and it is going to be very hard to see this tank empty once again. But I do hope that they are all happy now and enjoying seeing each other again with no more pains or worries.

Just To Cute!

My wonderful friend Mel e-mailed this to me and I have just loved it so much that I wanted all of you to see it too. It is just a nice thing to make you smile.

Be nice to others because . . . Time will make a difference! One day, you may not be the "BIG! DOG"!

Remember My Cooking?

If you remember that in a earlier post I said how I was not a very good cook or that things could go wrong and what not? Well tonight I was encharge of dinner again since my mother was going to be getting home late tonight. I decided I wanted to make soup bread bowl and of course some home made soup to go inside them. Well the bread rolls took a long time to make but they turned out wonderful. I am so proud of them. It is the best recipe that I have ever had for bread rolls and yet again Michael is the one that found the recipe. He was actually able to help me make them before he had to go off to work. As for the soup, well mine turned out fine but the other one turned out the color green because of the broccoli in it but it still tasted fine. I just thought that it was funny how that seemed to work out and all. I thought you all might like to have the recipe for the bread roll (just make sure that you have plenty of time and energy to make them).
.
Bread Bowls
Ingredients
2 (.25 ounce) packages active dry yeast
1 cup warm water (110 degrees to 115 degrees)
1 cup warm milk (110 to 115 degrees F)
1/2 cup shortening
1/2 cup sugar
2 eggs
2 teaspoons salt
6 cups all-purpose flour
Cornmeal
.
DIRECTIONS
1.)In a mixing bowl, dissolve yeast in warm water. Add the milk, shortening, sugar, eggs, salt and 2 cups flour. Beat until smooth. Stir in enough remaining flour to form a soft dough. Turn onto a floured surface; knead until smooth and elastic, about 6-8 minutes. Place in a greased bowl, turning once to grease top. Cover and let rise in a warm place until doubled, about 1 hour.
.
2.)Punch dough down. Turn onto a lightly floured surface. Divide into eight pieces; shape each into a ball. Grease two baking sheets and sprinkle with cornmeal. Place four balls 3 in. apart on each prepared pan. Cover and let rise until doubled, about 30 minutes. Bake at 350 degrees F for 20-25 minutes or until golden brown. Remove from pans to wire racks to cool.
.
3.)For bread bowls, cut a thin slice off the top of bread. Hollow out bottom half, leaving a 1/4-in. shell (discard removed bread or save for another use). Fill with chili, chowder or stew.

You Spin Me Around

We sure do have some funny people in our family but mostly I think the dog is the funniest. Last night Michael was just sitting in the chair and Hope wanted his attention. No big deal right? Dogs do that normally but the way that she got his attention was great and fun too. This is what came about from it all.

Now this is the new Hope Merry-Go-Round-Ride! Michael was actually glad that Hope stopped soon after I stopped videoing them because he was getting dizzy and Hope was getting tired of stepping on the little outstretched legs on the chair. It was so hard not to laugh and they had been doing that for like 10 minutes strait.

Happy Birthday Sister 2

I just wanted to say happy birthday to my sister today. I don't know if she wants you all to know her name because some of my family is funny about certain things. But I still just wanted to say a happy birthday to her and let her know that I love her and that I hope that she had a wonderful day today.

I Love You
&
HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!!!!!!
