The Best Kind of Gift

I kind of laughing at myself right now for even bothering to share this but I love the pictures so much that I am going to do so all the same.  I wanted to do a special surprise card for the grandma's and I came up with this idea.

Seth was our first gift from heaven.

Then came Sarah.

Next BIG BROTHER James.

A group picture of all our miracle sent children.

Yes another box for baby #4!
(I think the best part about this post is that it is done so late that baby #4 is already here).

All Green

My favorite holiday is St. Patrick's day and this year sadly I didn't have much energy, after Valentine's Day massive celebration, to get that much into it but at least I was able to force my self to do a few things.

I am a nutty mom in that I make all of my kids wear green.  Maybe you could even say a little bit of a over kill with how much green they wear.  Honestly, I even have back up green outfits encase they need to change at some point in the day.

Seth is such a good big brother and has to make sure James it okay.

Since it was James first St. Patrick's Day I had him wear the special onese outfit that the other two have worn.  I must say that the one nice thing of having their birthday's so close is that I can use these outfits over and over again.  Really makes you feel like you get your moneys worth out of these special holiday cloths.

My little girl can be such a camera model sometimes.

Seth was the hardest one to get a picture of because he was full of so much energy this morning but at least I managed to get this one good photo.

Now like I said I wasn't up to doing much so I didn't get to make the fancy lunch for them like I had planned.  But I did at least give them hotdogs in the shape of a rainbow with goldfish at the end of it.  Somewhat cute right?

They both also got to have lunch on green plates and their milk in green cups.  I thought it was pretty cool.  Now I know I could have done some dyed green food but I've never really liked that.  I'm okay with the natural green color food but when you make the food green it just isn't right.

Little man just sleeping through lunch time.

Yes, I even dressed the dogs up for the holiday too!  They are all waiting for daddy to come home to have fun with us.  It was such a cute thing that I had to take a picture before I missed the chance.

Once Seth realized what I was doing he had to make a funny face at me.  He doesn't do this often which is a good thing but I know I'll get more of it later as he grows up.

Blessed James

I don't know why I put myself through so much torture when it comes to making my children's blessing cloths.  It is probably because I have a set vision in mind of what they should look like and I can't have anything else.  I knew what I wanted for James but wasn't sure if I could make it but thankfully I was able to tweak another pattern and come up with this handsome outfit.

He is such a cute stylish little guy.  I think the cloths fit his personality perfectly.  Now I made the pants, bow tie, and suspenders.  The shirt and shoes were bought at different stores.

A view of the back for the suspenders and the pants.  I love my little pockets that I made him.

Sometimes he can be such a serious kid.  I am really happy with how the bow tie turned out since I had to make it even smaller than the pattern so it would fit him right.

When I was pregnant with James I made this blessing blanket for him too.  I have done that for all of my kids because I think it is just something nice and extra special for them to have.

Just a close up of his shoes.  They fit him perfectly.  I love little baby feet.

The entire family together after the blessing.

I made sure we would all color coordinate so we could get a good family picture.  These two were the best we could get because we had some very tired and hungry kids.

A special picture of just mommy and daddy holding our handsome son.

Seth is such a great big brother and loves to hold James.  This is one of those sweet moments I will cherish forever.

After the blessing and a large amount of pictures were taken we went home and had a nice lunch spread.

Little Stocking Stuffer

I think the pain medications are really starting to affect my thinking because I had almost totally forgotten that I needed to take some photo's of James while he is still little for his birth announcement.  It really hit me when I was working on his baby book that I needed to do this so I quickly took out my camera and set up a few things.  There was also a few photos that I wanted to do just for fun for his scrapbook.

Now I am sorry in advance that these pictures aren't edited yet but I figure if I didn't share them now that they probably would never make it up and they are just too cute to not share.

I just love little babies all in white.  They look even more angelic than normal.  I am also pretty lucky that we had a nice white stocking too.  I know you can't see much of it in the picture but it is there.

This is his Christmas stocking.  I love that it has his initial on it.  He was beyond a perfect Christmas present for our family.

Now this is the picture that I am going to be using for his birth announcement.  I still have a little work to do on it but it will look great in the end.  I do wish that my incredible photographer sister lived closer because I'm sure she would have had a blast taking some photos for me.  She is so amazingly talented.

Of course sleeping through a photo session with mommy means that you need to take a nap.  Strange but true.

Seth's One Picture Moments Part 1

I'm sorry but I'm going to try and share these fast.  I can't believe the year is almost over and I have things all the way in February that I have wanted to share.  I'm either a really bad mom or a busy one or both.

When it was time for Grandma M to go back home some cute little boy wanted to go with her.  I'm sure she would have taken him too.

We saw this shirt and it was beyond perfect for Seth.  He is such a little flirt with any girl that he is going to be a terrible heart breaker when he is older, I just know it.

Any celebration is more fun with balloons don't you think?  Seth sure enjoyed having them all around him.

Something that I just love about my son is how much he wants to help me clean the house.  YEAH!!!  I am really praying that he NEVER lose that desire to be of help to others.

One little car means not a lot of space when traveling but thankfully he handles it really well when he has his best friend on his side.

As we were traveling for a funeral we stayed with one of my cousins and Seth really enjoyed playing on their air bed.  At first I think he thought he had popped it but then realized it was suppose to do that.

We just LOVE our sweet aunt "ducky," and feel really blessed anytime that we get to see her.

Seth got to see great grandma S this year which was fun for him because he could do a lot more in her place then last time.  It was so sweet to see them together.

It was time to take some decorations down and put the new ones up for the next month but one little boy liked the old ones so much that we had to leave them for awhile.  Actually anytime I tried to take them down he would run and guard them from me.

Out for our first walk of the new spring season.  YEAH!!!  I love this time the most because it adds some great outdoor time to our routine.

Awhile ago, Michael made this cute little chair for a display I was sharing and Seth found the chair one day and knew it was to sit on.  He is really cute in it but already too big.  I'm sure Michael will enjoying making him another one bigger for him to use.

FINALLY FINISHED!!!  I made this quilt awhile ago thinking Seth could use it for Valentine's Day while he was in his crib.  The only thing that I needed to do was to quilt the top of it and finish off the edges.  I love how the look came out and how much Seth enjoys it.  Although I'm sad that he is such a tall kid because I know he won't get to use it too long.

He is so funny!  He had to be wrapped up in it and he just chilled like that on the floor for awhile.  I guess it was finally kid approved at this point.

It is way after Christmas but we like to get our money's worth out of our Christmas trees so we dry them out and use them as firewood.  Seth really likes starting a fire with daddy.

Another favorite thing about my little helper.  He likes to pull weeds!  Yes, actually weeds and not flowers.  He is great at asking me which to pull before he just goes and does it.  I so enjoy and appreciate all of the help he gives me.

One of my most favorite holidays is St. Patrick's Day.  I just love the color green and it is so much fun to dress up my handsome little man in green too.

I am really thankful that Seth enjoys to read but even more so when he picks to read and look through his scripture book.  He is so good about turning the pages carefully.

A historical moment!  Seth is eating at the table for the very first time!  He is doing so great and really loves this new privilege of life that he is getting.  Too bad he won't see it that way for the rest of his life but for now I'm glad to make him a little happier about it.

Playing at the park is always fun but doing so with family around is even better.  Seth has started to enjoy slides and finally has them figured out what they are for too.

I am more then impressed with my brave boy for going down the biggest slide in the park all by himself.  He just loved it too.

This little man is just way to handsome for his own good.  He is also a sweet thing in he gets really concerned when something brakes and wants us to fix it right away too.

I just love my dad!  He gives such great hugs and I think he is a really good looking guy too.  I'm glad that Seth has him for a grandfather and that they both are such stylish men.  I know they are going to be such great friends and one day enjoy going to car shows together too.
