With Seth getting older and heavier we have had to start teaching him how to put himself to sleep for nap time and bedtime. He use to be able to do it on his own but once teething time started it all went out the window. I wish I could just hold him and snuggle with him until he feel asleep but he takes a long time to settle down and he also wiggles to much that it causes me pain so my doctor told me to let him do it himself.
At least for the most part he is really good about playing quietly with whatever is in the playpen. He also has a little blanket that a ward member made for him to snuggle with that he enjoys having with him.
So with more playing and sometimes a lot of mommy heart breaking crying he will get to a point when he is finished playing and then...
He finally goes to sleep. Thankfully he is also started to nap a little longer then his normally few minutes so that is helpful too.
