My oldest sister, my kids call "Aunt Ducky" for several reasons. She is very smart and talented and can really do anything that she puts her mind too. Well something special about her is she likes to do races: 5K's and longer, Marathon, Half Iron Man's, Triathlons, and so much more. She recently hit a major milestone: she was going to run her 100th race! We couldn't be there to see her cross the finish line but the kids and I wanted to do something special to cheer her on in our own way.
We decided to make a special banner of one hundred.
"Aunt Ducky's" race was on Saturday so we spent the entire day dedicated to her. All of the kids wore yellow to pretend they were little ducks. We hung out poster which took the entire wall in my kitchen (the only place large enough to hang it up).
Each kid got a special picture of themselves in front of the banner too.
James was the best little cheer leader. The other things that we did to celebrate the day was go on a walk around the neighborhood, watch several Charlie Brown movies (since she likes Peanuts) and then we went to the park to see the ducky's swim. It was a fun day.
